Easter 2013

We had a really neat Easter this year.  My favorite by far.  

Alisha gave me a wonderful gift right before we left Boise.

We were able to focus on the Savior the whole week leading up to Easter.

We had a Passover Meal ~ Lamb, unleavened bread, bitter greens (romaine lettuce) and grape juice :)

 We ate a Jerusalem Dinner ~ Dates, olives, goat cheese, almonds, grapes, apricots, bread.

(Pictures?  Of course not!  I'm way too inconsistent to remember to take pictures!)

We focused our daily scripture study on the New Testament accounts of the Savior's last week.

We all learned a lot and really enjoyed ourselves and felt a sweet Spirit in our home.

On Easter Sunday  Micaela and Jackson had such great feelings about the day that they chose to share their testimonies of what they had learned and felt that week.  Jackson's first time!

We had some traditional Easter fun as well.  Once they were cleaned up from their camping trip they jumped right into dying eggs.  LOTS of eggs

We had some serious creativity going on!

 On Saturday Dean took the girls and Levi to an Easter egg hunt

where much candy was collected!

Jackson, baby and I were in SLC to meet one of Jackson's friends from Boise

and to experience IKEA.

Ahhh.  For a person who gets car sick a lot, having a chance to ride shotgun is oh so wonderful.  I LOVED getting to chat with him the whole way and to have him to myself.  Our conversation led us to making a list of things he wants to research:  Strait of Gibraltar, radius of the Earth, location and depth of the deepest ocean trench.  Such a treat!

These are the Jacksons!  They were in the same class at Collister for 1 1/2 years and were very good buddies.  Jackson K's mom texted me that they would be in SLC for Spring Break and would we be able to play?  Heck YES!!!  We met at their Discovery Center and the boys spent 3 hours in their element - together.  Made my heart so happy!  They built this big pyramid at the Lego table.  They built King Tut's golden tomb underneath there too.

Jonathan enjoyed the Lego table too!
