Our 1st Christmas Away

Highlights of Christmas Morning:
Lots of shooting things:  bb rifle, bb hand gun, bow and arrow, nerf
Harry Potter Movies - proof that Santa is real because the parents would never have bought those!
The Tablet for all of us.
Levi was pretty stoked about the chocolates in his stocking.
He also is looking thrilled with that green thing up there, he doesn't even know what it is.
(It's a spinning thing you launch by rubbing your hands together - just a stocking stuffer.

We also got a new camera with lots of features and Micaela happily posed for my experimenting.

We enjoyed a non-traditional Christmas dinner.
For starters, we are all still in our jammies!
I was NO WAY going to spend hours on a meal the majority of my family wouldn't eat.
They picked the menu.
Slow cooked country ribs, roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, rolls OF COURSE  and fluff (fruity - cool-whippy- puddingy thing)
Apple juice in goblets per Lizzy's request.

We spent the day in our jammies playing with our new things.
We alternated between feeling a bit sad
missing all of our traditional family visiting
and enjoying the low key, slow paced, no-where-to-rush-to day.

One of the hit gifts was Just Dance for the Wii.
Here are Dean, Micaela and Jackson showing off for you.
This has been played about every day since then.
Great gift Santa!!!
Good thing he also brought us a docking station
for the remotes to always be charging in.

Hurrah! I am soaking it up..... getting to see/watch the details of your far away Christmas. Pretty cool that you took advantage of the chance to create your own new traditions. Yea.... surprising how Santa is into some edgy gifts!

Looks like a fun Christmas. I bet it felt great to not have to rush anywhere!

What a fun morning/day! Quite the contrast of years past...as far as the running around. :)

So good to "see" you guys!

PS- Micaela is looking quite "teenagery" in those pictures. She's growing up!!!
