A Baptism & A Blessing

Once we knew we would be in Boise again for Grandma Ison's funeral,

we knew we wanted to try and take care of these two big steps 

while we would have so much family around.

It was important to Jackson to have as much family at his baptism as  possible.

There was a point when it looked like he would just have to be baptized here,

when we couldn't get all the permissions

or access to buildings that we would need,

but at the last minute it all came together

and he had a great experience.

We're grateful to Micaela and Grandma McKinley for sharing their thoughts on 

Baptism and the Holy Ghost

 on such short notice.

His primary teachers from Boise even

 drove out to Caldwell to support him.

He was so thrilled with their visit. 

 They are so amazing.

And we are so grateful to all the family 

that just sat around the church gym

for over an hour

waiting for the font to be available.  

What a long day, and what a gift to our Jackson.

The next day we blessed Jonathan in our "old"ward,

although technically our records didn't leave that ward until about an hour after the meeting.

It was meant to be!

Again family came and supported us

and man alive are we grateful for family.

Jonathan was well behaved during his blessing 

and thankfully didn't ruin his cute outfit until after.

(Why does he only have blowouts at church?  ugh!)

It was a great quick trip home to celebrate

the life of our wonderful Grandma,

Jackson making such important covenants with his Heavenly Father,

and the gift of our sweet baby Jonathan.
