A Trip HOME!

We were able to make a holiday trip to Boise!

Grandma Joan and Grandpa Ed were so brave to let us invade their clean, quiet home for 6 NIGHTS!!!
We enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner, shopping, visiting the new Village and LOTS of snuggling, movies and tablet sharing:)

Hope you've recovered!

We made it to the annual Ison Christmas FHE as well.
Our family cherishes this tradition so this was a big deal.

Christmas carols with handbells is always a huge hit.

Saw some extremely cute baby cousins that we hadn't seen since July.
MWAH!
MWAH!
MWAH! Some cousin reuniting happened.  I didn't see Abree and Lizzy much and I didn't catch the photo of Sterling and Levi going at it in the middle of the party!

 And SANTA came!!!
Lizzy totally believes!
(Nice photo-bomb Tyrel!)

Jackson's always willing to play along.

When Levi's name was called he was MIA.
We called several times and some had thought to go upstairs to search.
Finally here he comes running from behind us all.
Dean found the evidence of what had held him up....
3 empty candy wrappers under the Smullins dining room table.
That's his favorite
I-stole-a-treat-and-don't-want-to-get-caught
spot at our house too.

Kayla's last year sitting on Santa's lap.  She gets to join the gift exchange next year!
(Why does that make me tear up?)
Every time her name is called we all remember the year she was 1 1/2
and would NOT look at that red man.
Eyes sealed shut and glued to my lap.
She's come a long way.

 Jonathan's first Santa experience.
(We missed this family event last year and the Santa for our ward party never showed!)

"No way, uh-uh, get me outta here!"

"Mean!  Mean!  Mean!  All of you!"
and he would not be comforted nor have anything to do with that stupid package for 10 more minutes.

"Oh.  There was a truck in there?  Cool!"

We love you all!  It was so good for our hearts to see so many of you.
Thought of you, Dad and Tona, on our crazy, snowy drive home.
